Gillian AdensGillian is director at Hippo Software, services partner for Sparx Systems in the UK and Northern Europe. Gillian studied joint honours Mathematics and Computing Science at Glasgow University and is a Chartered IT Professional Member of the British Computer Society. Gillian was one of the earliest adopters of UML and Sparx EA in the UK (using EA from V2 onwards). She is also an expert in SysML, BPMN and ArchiMate. Gillian enjoys swimming and is a Cub Scout leader.
Geert BellekensGeert is a Sparx EA consultant who’s been helping organizations use EA since 2005. Areas of expertise: UML, BPMN, Archimate, add-ins, scripting, document generation, and MDG technologies.
Malcolm CawoodFrom August 2015 to May 2021, I worked in the Risk function of a major investment bank, where we used Sparx for business architecture and to demonstrate regulatory compliance. Before that, I spent 16 years working with or for Casewise (12 as a consultant), which was a similar repository-based modelling tool. More recently, I have used Sparx to design presentations to both the Cybernetics Society and Systems and Complexity in Organizations (SCIO) – which is what informs today’s presentation.
Phil ChudleyPhil Chudley is a principal consultant at Dunstan Thomas Consulting Ltd. He has been using Enterprise Architect for over 16 years, and has vast modelling experience ranging from UML, BPMN and SysML. He has provided training consultancy for numerous organisations in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. These organisations cover sectors ranging from financial to aerospace and defence. Phil has also developed two extensions for Enterprise Architect, BPMN Generator and EA Safe Delete.
Phil’s latest consultancies are the development of large Metamodels, and numerous scripts.
Stephen FordSteve started his career 36 years ago as a trainee at Birmingham based insurance company (COBOL & Powerhouse 4GL) becoming a Systems Analyst after 5 years. He then moved to a merchant bank in the city as an analyst programmer (C++) working on integration of the bank to the new UK CREST securities depository before moving to a small city consultancy (C#, ASP.Net). Following the dotnet crash he moved to a life company, becoming a solutions architect , also performing database performance analysis and tuning. He was then lead architect on a merger and systems & data centre migration. In 2017 he joined KPMG performing technical assurance of a large data centre migration and performance analysis of a major wrap platform. In 2019 he joined the Bank of England as a Senior Architect on the RTGS programme leading on Monitoring, Billing and CRM before moving to Lead Enterprise Architect in 2022, where he came across EA for the first time. Since then, he has been key in the design and implementation of the Bank’s metamodel in EA and the population of the repository.
Dennis GelukDennis is a senior information analyst and partner at DiVetro in the Netherlands. He has over 25 years of experience in IT. During this period he has fulfilled a broad spectrum of roles at different organisations. Being an analyst with a long history in agile development Dennis helped numerous customers in implementing agile and improving requirements standards with agile elements. Currently Dennis is working at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and KLM as a senior business analyst and coach.
Over the years Dennis has worked with a variety of case tools. He has been using different versions of Enterprise Architect and always tries to get the best out of the use of a case tool.
Both Dennis and DiVetro are convinced that a good set of company guidelines and standards can help to maintain a high level of quality and consistent documentation set.
Professor Jon HoltProf Jon Holt is an internationally-recognised expert in the field of Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE). He is an international award-winning author and public speaker and has authored 18 books on MBSE and its applications. Since 2014 he has been a Director and consultant for Scarecrow Consultants, who are ‘outstanding in the field of MBSE’.
Jon is also a Professor of Systems Engineering at Cranfield University, where he is involved with the teaching of and research into MBSE. He is a Fellow of both the IET and the BCS and is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered IT Professional. He is currently the Technical Director of INCOSE UK where he is responsible for all technical activities and, in 2015, was identified as one of the 25 most-influential Systems Engineers in the last 25 years by INCOSE. In 2022 was elected as an INCOSE Fellow, one of only 85 in the world.
Jon is also actively involved in the promotion of Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) where he uses magic, mind-reading and occasional escapology to promote Systems Engineering at Music Festivals, Science Festivals, the IET Pythagorean Cabaret, radio shows and other STEM events. He has also authored the children’s STEM book ‘Think Engineer’ which is published by INCOSE UK.
Roman KazičkaRoman studied Technical Cybertronics at Slovak Technology University, where he obtained PhD in the field of Measurement Technology. Initially working on Computer based Measurement and Automation on the shop floor, over the last 10 years, he has been involved with IT support and services in manufacturing businesses, especially in the automotive industry where he worked in technical roles (Solution Architect, Test Designer) in ITIL processes roles (ITSC Manager, Capacity Manager, Availability Manager) and in Professional managerial roles (CTO). He has certificates from ITIL and TOGAF 9.1 and practical experience of running and supporting IT services in the automotive industry. Roman is founder of nonprofit organization (AGNICOLI- through Knowledge to freedom) focused on education in IT for students from 12+ Years age. He is author of several methodologies (7D-Seven Disciplines for Successful Solutions, APV-Assets-Perspectives-Views, Q12- 12 Quadrants for starting business). These methodologies are implemented as MDG in EA as well. He uses Sparxsystems technologies since the Year 2000. He promotes the Idea of Model Driven Approach. He is lecturer at universities and maker spaces ( FABLAB CVTI) where leads own courses – System Thinking in IT and digital fabrication.

He is evangelist in using modelers (especially Sparxsystems technology) as a part of new Paradigm of work – Model Based team collaboration.
Roman is founder Systemthinking company. He provides consultancy for his partners in areas of his expertise. He participated in supporting decision makers with right information from trusted sources in his engagements. Takeshi KounoTakeshi is the founder and CEO of Sparx Systems Japan, Inc. He established Sparx Japan 20 years ago to promote Enterprise Architect and related products to Japanese engineers. Currently, he is interested in MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) and SysML, and provides various related utilities to Japanese users.
Peter LieberPeter is parallel entrepreneur and also founder of Sparx Systems Central Europe. He also founded Sparx Services CE with a clear focus on EAM (www.sparxservices.eu) within the Sparx Eco System. He also serves a president of the Austrian Trade Organisation, the eldest business network in Austria.

Ian MitchellIan is an EA user, trainer and consultant who has been using Sparx for 20 years. His experience spans IBM hardware development, leading software design teams, managing business critical software systems and building a training and consulting practice. He has trained and consulted for clients in a wide range of business domains, including engineering, finance, utilities, government and not-for-profit organisations. And he is also chief designer for the best-selling EA product add-in, eaDocX. In his spare time he does things with trees in Wales.
Nizam MohamedProduct Manager @ Sparx Systems Prolaborate and EA SaaS, Nizam has considerable experience as an architecture consultant and implementation professional across various sectors and has been using Sparx EA for over 17 years. He has assisted teams in setting up and implementing use case-driven EA Practise to get the most out of their modelling efforts. Nizam established a market for Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect in India while serving as the manager of operations for Sparx Systems India from 2013 to 2016 and is the founder and CEO of Sixth Force Solutions, which created the cloud platforms Prolaborate and EA SaaS that are a part of the Sparx Systems Architecture Platform. Dipl.-Ing. Franz MüllerFranz has been involved in object-oriented programming since 1995. His professional career led him from many years of software development to requirements engineer to software architect. Object-oriented modelling became an indispensable part of his working method even before his diploma thesis “Object Oriented Programming with Enterprise JavaBeans” in cooperation with Siemens PSE. At SparxSystems, he has travelled the furthest around the world as a trainer.
Dr. István RáthDr István Ráth is the CEO of the IncQuery Group, makers of the IncQuery Suite, the leading platform for digital thread analytics. He has a PhD in Software Engineering; his main professional interest is building the next generation of digital engineering tools for industries such as aerospace and defense, automotive, biomedical and industrial automation.
Martin SharpMartin started his career 40 years ago as a Naval Architect designing ships in 3D. This evolved into designing businesses using techniques including DSDM, Business Process Re-Engineering and later on Enterprise Architecture. He has worked with many consultancies, both large and small, selling and delivering aspects of EA. He spent 6 years as Director of Consulting Services in Mega International. Recently he worked as an independent consultant in Public Health England both developing their Change Strategy and setting up a Business Architecture Practice. Martin joined the Bank of England in October 2020 as their first ever Business Architect. The practice now comprises a team of 8 and is involved in enabling strategy.
Daniel SieglDaniel has been involved with model-based engineering since 2000. He first experienced model-based engineering with Together, and then moved on to the current focus: Enterprise Architect by Sparx Systems. He gained deep experience handling critical software projects around the world in the IT, apparel and footware industries. The next logical step was to join European-based LieberLieber, the Enterprise Architect Specialists, in 2006. In his role as developer of international business he also became CEO of LieberLieber Software Corp, based in Houston, TX, in 2014. Daniel is heavily involved with LieberLieber’s Automotive and Logistics clients, helping them to build tools to develop their products in a more efficient way. He is passionate about UML/SysML, embedded systems, and industry standards like AUTOSAR. He is an experienced speaker, a founding member of the Enterprise Architect User Group and represents LieberLieber at the Object Management Group, INCOSE and ProStep. Daniel lives with his family in Vienna, Austria.
John StantonJohn is Head of Architecture Services at Mosaic Island, a consulting and delivery organisation specialising in providing Architecture and Design related services to some of the largest enterprises in the UK. John joined Mosaic Island in 2018 and currently heads up their Architecture Managed Services practice having spent over 25 years in a wide range of solutions and enterprise architecture roles. As part of his role, John helps his clients to mature their EA practices by getting the most from their EA tooling investments.
Salomé WagnerSalome is a marketing expert for IT and Tech companies for more than 20 years. After 10 years of marketing and partner roles in international, large corporations, she supports today the Lieber.Group in Business Development activities. During her engagement as business angel for early-stage start-ups, she initiated and successfully established the international event format “FuckUp Nights” in Vienna.
Seung YeobSeung Yeob Shin is a Research Scientist at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), University of Luxembourg. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Laboratory for Advanced Software Engineering Research (LASER) in the College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2016. His research interests are in software engineering, focusing on model-driven software development, search-based software engineering, empirical software engineering, and analysis of complex systems.
